HOG’s Rule

This morning I had the privilege of volunteering at a fundraiser for the Mickaela Foundation, providing medical care for uninsured women with breast cancer.  The organization is small and run like a mom and pop shop but that doesn’t mean they don’t have the respect of the community.  The Mile High Harley Davidson Group-Aurora Chapter and Mile High Harley Davidson came out in full force to make today’s fundraiser a huge success.

By the time I left after registration we had almost three hundred people come for the “Bug Ride”.  The bikes were of all different models, years and colors but they all had one thing in common, big hearts.  Not only did each person, including the passenger, pay an entrance fee, but they were buying raffle tickets for the chance to buy a new Harley.  They came with their hearts and wallets open.

As pilgrims its important to know that you have a community.  It’s vital to your personal success to know there are people not diagnosed who are willing to support you in getting proper medical care, funding for research or simply the support that you’re not alone.  Walking this world as a pilgrim provides strength and when you don’t feel you have any look around and you’ll see groups like this Harley Davidson community who say we’re here for you…keep the faith.
